Industrial equipment
Years of experience in the industrial equipment industry and the input of knowledge by many equipment manufacturing customers have led Axtin to develop a customer focused Industrial Equipment Solution. In the Industrial Equipment Solution we do not focus on the intricacies of ERP software, but rather on your business processes and critical challenges. By basing the engagement around the processes common to equipment manufacturers, the implementation occurs more rapidly and accurately.
Our solutions leverage the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software. Dynamics AX is a proven, highly flexible ERP solution. Hence, it is easily adaptable to a process based front end. Customers gain the benefit of Microsoft’s extensive research and development, and alignment with Microsoft’s strategic directions in Microsoft Dynamics and Windows Server Systems.
Since 1996, Axtin has developed a unique optimal solution – Industrial Equipment Solution – for implementing ERP systems in an Equipment Manufacturing environment. Axtin bases this approach on two observations: 1) equipment manufacturers have common processes, and 2) modeling of the software interfaces around these processes helps focus the ERP implementation and is more natural for organizations to adopt rapidly.
Axtin's solution consists of many pre-built front ends. These front ends are the natural processes around which manufacturing companies are based. By example, these include such processes as product configuration, production control, delivery control, purchasing, master planning, service management, engineering change control, and financials. Each front end then expands to a flow chart of how the process occurs, with key decision points and process steps. The process steps then expand to the specifics of data entry and reporting corresponding to that step.
This methodology shapes the implementation engagement. In the hands of Axtin's consultants, who have extensive experience in finance and manufacturing, processes are clearly captured and mapped to the intuitive front-end. Exceptions and unique processes are added to the existing templates. Errors in understanding customer processes are minimized, and a successful implementation is more rapidly achieved. The end result is a seamless transition to an ERP implementation that quickly results in process improvement and business gains for your company.
